Hicks Capital Management CFP Board Ashworth, the firm’s founder and managing director, entered the industry in 1998.
Hicks Capital Management, a US-registered investment advisor, has added team members to its business in Florida and rebranded itself.
Jim Beam, who joins as a financial advisor in Naples, Florida, has been working in financial services since making a career switch in 2013. Prior to that, he worked for 20 years in construction management and development.
Another joiner is Shannon Beam, who has worked for almost three decades in education, including 10 years in administration at First Baptist Academy Naples where she served as director of admissions and development.
The firm is run by T D Hicks, its president; he works with partner Jason S Moore.
Hicks Capital Management was founded in 2011, in Columbus, Ohio.
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, has named Jeanne Hamrick as director of external communications.
Hamrick will lead efforts to build and enhance the value proposition of CFP Board and the CFP® certification among media, industry, thought leaders and policy makers. Hamrick will report to chief operating officer Elizabeth Stewart.
Prior to this, Hamrick worked at Freddie Mac where she created and implemented public relations strategies for its single-family business unit and led its proactive and reactive media activities. Prior to this, she worked at the American National Red Cross.

Roberts & Ryan Investments, the RIA and certified Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise, has appointed US Marine Corps veteran Alexander Mainero as managing director of capital markets.
Mainero joined the Marine Corps during college and was stationed at the USMC headquarters in Washington, DC. He was assigned recruiting detail and became the face of the Marines. After his service in the US Marine Corps, Mainero began his financial services work at Barclays Bank, where he received formal training in credit, risk management and corporate finance.
Following Barclays, Mainero became a senior corporate and investment banker working on several transactions worldwide across multiple products and industry sectors at various firms. This includes multiple years with Citigroup where he was based in New York and South America.
Mainero has spent most of his finance career focusing on global capital markets, with 32 years of experience in the field. Mainero holds FINRA Series 79, 7 and 63 licenses. He is first-generation American, a product of Argentinian and Italian parents, and fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. He is the first to have served in the military, fulfilling an American dream. Mainero is a graduate of the Universidade Catolica de Santos in Brazil, with a BBA - bachelor of business administration.
LPL Financial
LPL Financial, the financial advisory firm and broker-dealer, earlier this week announced that advisors Mike Ashworth, Steve Collie and Katheryn Gordon have launched Ashworth Financial Group with support from LPL Strategic Wealth Services.
Ashworth is a new affiliation model designed to support established wirehouse- or employee channel-based advisors seeking independence. The team will use LPL’s broker-dealer, corporate registered investment advisor and custodial platforms.
The team reported having served about $300 million in brokerage, advisory and retirement plan assets. They join from Wells Fargo Advisors.
